The Ginger Bengalese would be the second most common colour or mutation of the Bengalese Finch aside from the Chocolate (Brown), that is for the pied or varigated birds as well as the Selfs.
The Gingers don't usually show a defined display of the underbelly markings (or "spengling" as is termed by some people here in Sydney) as well as the darker birds like the Chocolate or Chestnut, as the bird gets lighter so does the definition of these markings.

Here's a couple of pics of one of my new Ginger Selfs.

Very attractive bird. I admire your work in finding (and presumably breeding) the self bengos.

Nice. Lots of spangling on the fronts of many of my chocs but you are right none on the ginger or chestnut. My gingers are all pied too. Wonder if by crossing to strongly spangled chocs it would be possible to bring this out in the gingers?

I was thinking the same thing.
This is definitively on my list of "To-do's" for the future to prove.

Nice pictures Finchman1. I appreciate you sharing them very much. This Ginger is has nice dark colour and has nice bib scolloping. Do you keep other Self Bengalese?

It is encouraging to see others that keep these.

Thanks Again!
