Great photo and great colour. They tend to fade to a terra cotta colour in captivity.

Beautiful. One bird I'd love but which is not on the Vic list .
And as a result of the Qld Authorities' in depth studies and due consideration of stakeholder input . .
(read: CUTTING AND PASTING VIC's LIST) . . is not on the QLD list either

Tint can that be prevented by diet / supplements? I know since I started giving my chat spirulina it's a different bird colour wise.

What is spirulina? What are the benefits for birds? Where do you order it?
Do you know if it would be a color food for canaries?

I have tried spirulina, Canthoxanthin (canary colour) and honey eater red food on three different males before and during moult with no discernible difference.

So whats the secret ingredient for wild birds ? No spirrulina or canary colour. What gives chats and Red Capped robins great colour in the bush ?
