Hi All,

Barbets combine gorgeous coloration and a unique body plan. Related to woodpeckers and toucans, barbets somehow bring both to mind. I’ve always enjoyed working with them, although a “barbet incident” gave me quite a scare early-on in my career…Read article here:

Wow i'm so jealous of your career Frank.
It would be so great learning about the behaviour and husbandry of new birds species as a job.

Very taken by the 'canned invertebrates' not cheap though, and wouldn't want to store them in the pantry . . just in case

Might be an idea for an entrepreneur . . Being an American idea, franchisees may be welcomed

Thanks for the note: they are quite expensive - originally marketed for reptiles. There are larger/cheaper bags available, sold with birds in mind, but mealworms (tenebrio larvae) only. Contents must be refrigerated after opening, and used within 1 week or so, or frozen. Best, Frank
