White marks??

Hi,
recently i separeted 3 gouldians from there parents and noticed taht one has one white mark above the left eye and a few more in his head.
Is this normal or when the bird change to his full colors, they will desapear??

Interesting, only time Ive seen anything like that is when I had a bird that didnt quite make it through the moult in time as he was from a late clutch. But the feathers on my bird were more a grey colour and all over his RH head, he moulted out completely the following moult.
The feathers on your bird look really white. Will be good to see it after the moult.
What colour are the parents?

Hi,
This one and his 2 brothers fledge from the nest 4 days ago and this one had this. First i thought it was something else from there brothers but no.
This white marks are not even white. They are silver, a very faint silver color.
His parents ara BH, PB male, a RH, WB hen.

Could it be a split to Australian yellow? Just brainstorming, mutations are not my strong suit.

I had one last season, but it didnt make it through the moult, the others that fledged were white chested green backs from supposed normal parents , chances are it could be split for yellow. I am no expert on genetics so its only a guess... Pete

I do not think they have Aus/yellows over there or overseas,
the only way you will know what it is when it moults .

Well, Australian Yellow it is not because thate mutation does not exist, here in Portugal.
I am going to see and wait what they will became.
