Birds for sale

Seems to be very few birds offered for sale by the members. Just wondering why this is?

Probably because it is most birds breeding season...and a lot of young not coloured up yet

There is the problem of location of where the birds are available.
No one is going to drive 300kms to my home to pick up a $40 pair of birds,so we pack them up
and head for the bird sales. There you have buyers and sellers going to the same area.
If you are after a particular specie list it in the wanted file you never know who might have them near by

I myself have birds ready to be sold, just not the time to go into the holding aviary, sex them, check for unrelated pairs and write it all down. Too busy looking after the birds breeding requirements at the moment, as E orix said, so tend to list for sale birds pretty sporadically.

i know its a long way away.... but there is a bird sale this saturday in Gunnedah nsw.
its parrot-heaven but lots of finches too.
well worth a look if any aff'rs are in the neighbourhood.
