I bought two RCCB cocks from a friend a few weeks ago so I could put a few unrelated pairs together. Both perfectly healthy specimens. Earlier in the week I wacked one cock and one of my hens in an aviary. This morning I've caught up another hen from my holding cage together with a diamond for a local mate. I put them both in the cabinet with the RCCB cock. Just had some lunch then went down to put some seeding grasses in the cages and the RCCB cock is dead. I can't see any sign of injury whatsoever - appears to be in perfect health and feather except it's no longer breathing. I have no idea what happened but it's very f#$%^&* annoying!
