We've thrown seed into our garden and have some very obvious white millet growing and these guys are growing around the same area. Like HEAPS of them!

Close up of a larger one from the right of the previous photo..
Also does plain canary look a bit like white millet when growing, as we have some more little sprouty bits that the leaves look not quite as wide as the millet...

The broad leaf plant looks to me like small rape seed plants others no help

Orix, i thought that too but the flower buds changed my mind.(are the buds pink?) as they would be yellow for rape.The tall skinny ones are useless weeds.Cheers Craig

The buds aren't pink... Just green...
It's just odd that the long skinny ones chose to grow right in the same place as the rest of the seed lol

canola maybe. you never know whats in our seed mixes , they all can seem to be differant...... but you will have to wait and see... pete

yep there linseed I think . haven't grown them for years nothing ever ate them.

I've had Siskins eat the half-ripe linseed heads but very few finches of mine have ever shown much interest in it as a dry seed.
