Is just the photos or do Harvey's Ruddy's look a little like pink ones instead of normal reds? :eh:

I forgot to mention that these birds where avairy breed, the breeder said they will be hardy.
I asked him about covering his avairys over winter and he does not.
By the looks of his birds(lots) they where all in perfect order.

Brett/Harvey I hope that they are a strong pair and go good for you, breeding season starts around Oct and goes through to about march, they can breed in cabinets or aviery and like cane baskets or to build their own in a bush, fine grsaaes and feathers are their main building materials but they can use others aswell. Once going they can breed like zebs and are on average good parents, not to much peeking. Live food is a must to have good strong clutches but I have seen some young coke out of nests with none but not as good results as the young feed with live food.

Lovely birds, you will know when they are starting to breed as the cock bird seems to always have a white feather in his beak. As mentioned before they love white feathers and stuff the nest full.

Nice pair of finches. They do look pinker than mine. Ah so it's white feathers I need to tip this pair the rest of the way into action.
