Second page of the paper today had a story of a local Canary breeder who had $3000 dollars worth of canaries stolen from his back yard, cabinets and avairys.
They even baited his dog to get in at night.
He said he might not continue breeding .
All local breeders, be on the lookout.
Bloody Tossers and should be flogged.

That is the worst thing that could happen. I would be devastated after breeding them and getting them ready to show, and then gone overnight.
It doesn't just happen in Newcastle. Have heard many stories over the years of similar thefts.

Happens in Dubbo which is why you cant buy a bird here from a breeder ...All keep secrets and buy and sell in other areas .
Sad but true .
