Just sent mine in for renewal. Form requires more info than it used to. But still only $20 to cover everything, and I have the lot.

Not quite everything, I need a declared birds permit for the cordons and tri-coloured parrotfinches that costs an extra $30, but still, easier than most!!
By the sounds of it, it may just about be worth moving to the NT purely for the easy licensing!!

My declared bird and advanced combo is only $20 cause of what I have. I meant I had the lot licence wise not birds wise. But yes degrees of expense on avicultural and declared. Was overlooking that.

The new form has the option to pay by credit card, which makes it so much easier and cheaper than having to get a money order if you dont have a cheque book ... pete

Apart from the lack of softbills you can't argue with the qld system - free permits, done online, no returns (ever), renewal $150 every 5 years for restricted licence.

Danny That is what should be used.
It is an extension of what the old Victorian system was until those in the ivory towers decided that they had to change it.
In their opinion the majority of Aviculturalists were just uncontrolable trappers exploiting our wild life.
Didn't matter if some could only be found thousands of K's away.
