Found this webpage on a random search on a Bonsai site.
Just put in your postcode and you will get a list of what ever you choose, birds, fish, mammals, plants, trees. It has quite an extensive list.

Some of our young scientists should get on board and do some of the volunteer transcibing, a great way to get an idea of taxonomy etc and from the looks of this a great resource is being created from it.
