Good pic Pete. Get it DNA sexed as unless it is a young one just coloured it looks like a hen to me. The lack of colour on the belly and the green suffusion around the back of the neck and head look like a hen. Males have a more grey head and neck and more depth of colour on the belly. What colour is the tip of the tail? Creamy green or bright, deep yellow?

Did they tell you how old it is? Or how they know it is a male? It does look juvenile.

They had no idea who bred it, other than they had it for 6 months, couldnt tell me the breeder either, but I remember they had some un coloured ones in the same cage a while back as I dont usually buy birds from this place, just window shop .

They swore black and blue its a male even when I questioned the sex and if it was dna sexed to be 100% acurate and they didnt need it to be .But yet they had no idea where it came from . It will be done and posted on the weekend so we will know in a few weeks what it is... Pete
