auto fish feeders for mealworms

hi there has any one ever used automatic fish feeders for dispensing mealworms. i was thinking of getting a couple and trying them out and seens there battery operated that will be even better no need for electricity to the avaries.

I wouldn't mine trying this too.
Be interested if anyone has this setup if it works for them.

i was reeding a article in a mag think was aust avairy life i think and Marcus Pollard does an article ech issue and that month he was talking bout them and worked good once you get the drop time set. the destructions(instructions) come in chinees. the brand that i was looking at which marcus recommended. but u can send him an email for them. i was proberly going to order them this week

One of the other treads talked about this. There is an articlee in Just Finches issue 18 with a $20 fish feeder bought on ebay and used for live food.
Had been working well.

well ive just ordered 3 of them hopefully i might get them by the end of the week or earlie next week. hope they work good if they do i will probaly get another 2-3

my only concern with using them would be during summer when the temp gets up a bit. wouldnt want the birds getting a load of dead half baked mealworms.

yeh I agree. Wouldn't want to use it above 33c and have no direct sun light hitting it.
I reckon the plastic would heat up a bit. I would drill more very small breather holds to get more air through the bowl without letting any out.

Not sure though as i don't have one yet.
