can finches & parrots eat shredded wheat

Shredded wheat as in cereal ?

My hand reared parrots get crushed nutri grain or cheerios when they are weaning . If that helps .

yes the ceral,i was looking for something to eat i prefered wheat bis but we are out so i saw shredded wheat an i was wandering if birds can eat them,they have carbohydrates,fibre an protien in them so i asked here before i give it a shot

wont hurt as a treat .
