Our first ever longtail fledged yesterday - my wife saw it happen, heard parents calling and bubba tentavely come out in to the world :D . Mum's pearl, dad's split pearl.

How long will it take to colour up and show whether pearl or not? Mum was bought as a split but showed her true colours a few weeks later.

It does look like the baby could be pearl, in the pic it even seems like it has the same lighter feathering in the bib as Mum does.

It has been a long time since I last had and bred these birds...from way back in memory thought it was around 10-12weeks...but like I said I could be thinking of something else
