thanks for the link finchman1....very interesting.
they seem very domesticated diamonds dont they?
i know what would happen if i dived into the nests of my diamonds to ring or photograph them ....abandoned nests.
i still prefer the normal wild type but you gotta love the white one, very different.
i think much of the hype around yellow or silver/dilute mutations is dollar driven rather than a love of the breed, just my view anyway.

Very interesting but I can't say I like the white or the dilute (if that's what it is?). I find it odd when we start with such beautifully coloured birds and then somehow think it's clever to breed dilute or worse still white versions. And the white one in the last few photos seems to have an eye problem - I wonder if it's linked to the white mutation?
