Eggs in nest

hi everyone,lost hen melba not long ago,picked one up at cessnck sale,well now ive got nest and eggs what do i do now ,leave them alone

just feed them. All new at these birds,all info will help me get bird going,THANKS

hope you have access to plenty of livefood, will require large amounts, maggots minimum. just leave them alone, if you just watch, listen, you will learn just as much. Hope it all works out.

Notice you live near Forster. Plenty of forests around there. Get some termites & give them a generous amount every day until the young are independent. Melbas are the most avid termite eaters out of all the finches available in Australia. Feeding them a non-termite livefood diet is strongly courting loss of young if/when they hatch. Plenty of termites fed consistently is the best thing you can do to maximise successful breeding prospects.
