I currently have some full black cocks in with pied hens. Will see what results.

Hi Finchy.

Came across this post and thought I would ask......Did you give it a try? Any luck in producing WA Fancy or something similar?

Cheers

Jake.

I currently have 3 cocks that look a lot like WA fancys (but black is only on chest not full front) in a small avairy with 3 hens that are dilute charcol pieds. Hoping for some interesting results.

Hi Jake. I did produce a Marked White Charcoal, which is a pretty interesting looking bird. Not yet a MW BB blend, but no reason why not. I have not been trying very hard, but the genes are in my flock to produce it. I'm just waiting :)

I've seen MW and CFW Charcoals. The ones I've seen are fairly unimpressive, and look similar to this (minus the crest):

No luck so far with the ones I deliberately put together. But in my general grey mix avairy, have a couple of young heavy pieds with the black teardrops on their faces. So they look a bit like the one above but with no crest, much darker, teardrops and a little more grey.
