I have posted both in the introduce yourself section and in another section, but neither of my posts are showing up.

I was wondering, do they need to be approved by admin before they are made visible for all to see?

If so, then I have no need to fret.

That;s right. For the first 5 posts everything has to be approved by a real person and most of us are out and about it seems. The system is not perfect but it really cuts down the spam we had to deal with before we had the policy.
