As in finch crumbles etc ? Cant see a problem with it if its what you want to do .
I found this ....they didn't eat them .....they added to the overall food bill .....and then got thrown out .
if yours eat them and it gives you peace of mind that they are getting the nutrition they need then go for it .
Try it and see . Just buy a small bag in case .

I know of a breeder that crushes chick starter pellets into his seed mix, most starter pellets have an anti- coccocids treatment added [so I'm told]
and this is one way to treat your birds.
Cheers Greg.

Chick starters can be bought medicated and unmedicated .
I crush them for my Quail babies and the other birds dont mind a nibble on them as well .

Can only try ...I bought some for my Quakers which they wouldn't touch so now they go into the egg / biscuit , cakes etc and they eat it....not the Quakers but the others including young Zebs.
Only way to know is to try , what inmates of one aviary eat around here is often different to what another aviary will eat > they are all different +++ the extra protein isn't going to hurt them either.
