Hi

I have been losing gouldians since the begining of times, whith a desease that i can not control. This cames and goes in a period of 4 to 5 months.
This are the sintoms: the bird infected starts to lose weight, sleeps a lot, always loking for a hot place to worm up.
Their chest is almost skin and bone but is abdomen is enormous. With a very black spot which i thing is the leaver. The leaver is enormous and very black.
The bird with this proble, dies ina a few weeks. Almost 95% of my gouldians die with this problem. And i have double bars, long tail, RFPF, BFPF, star finches, lonchuras malabaricas and the only spiecies that have this problems are gouldians.
Does anyone knows what it may be??

That´s another problem: it is not.
And their breeding is just fine....

It could be any number of things - bacterial, viral (polyoma) or parasitic. Your best bet is to have a post mortem on the next dead bird (or better, have an almost dead bird euthanased) and get some samples off for histopathology. At the moment you are treating blindly and getting nowhere. It's much easier to fix an issue when you know what the issue is.

I agree with Danny- apost mortem will give you the best answer. Try to find an avian veterinarian in Portugal- I know you have some there.

The dark spot you mention is probably an engorged gall bladder- which can occur with a number of diseases as Danny mentioned.
The fact that they lose body weight and are so thin shows that the disease affects them slowly, rather than killing them quickly.
