What Mutations may i have in this nest ??? (UPDATE)

I have a pair that has produced 1 clutch of 2 young this yr and currently has another clutch of 5 in nest atm.

the parents are:

Cock Bird YH/PB/SFY- Split Aus Yellow- possible Split Blue ( i can say for sure its split aus yellow as it has white marking on bib and a little bit thru its wings ) i cannot say for sure if its split blue yet.

it is paired to

Hen Bird RH/PB/GB -Split Aus Yellow possible Split Blue ( i cant see any noticeable white marking on bird ) so cant 100% say if its split aus yellow and or split blue.

now the fun part,

the first clutch produced 2 green back gouldians, 1 has a white stripe on its beak that leads to a white mark on the top of its head ( split aus yellow ) the other appears to have no markings.

the 2nd clutch is a nest of 5 and iv attached photo's

3 babies look to be green backs and the other 2 look to be yellow ish/whitish: maybe (euro yellow) or (Aus yellow) or (Silvers) or maybe (Aussie Yellow Blue)???

Image

looking at the 2 yellow ish young they have sml differences in appearance, the nodules seem slightly different pic below ( iv also noticed 1 has a darker head and a black beak where as the other yellow is lighter and has a white/pink beak pic below

what do you think this guy could be?

i realise id have a better idea of what the young may be once the feathers come thru, but thought id post this on the forum to get the genetic junkies and gouldian mutation breeders thinking and maybe guess from the nodules of what they may be.

cheers misso :)

Too confused by all the possible splits to hazard a guess (could be almost anything), so I'll leave it to the Gouldian addicts/experts, but definitely interesting/exciting!

The last photo looks most likely a yellow split to blue by the photo if its a white nodule ?.the other nodules showing normals. Basically white nodule blue gene. The more advanced guys will correct me if I am wrong.

this site owned by one of our members is excellent for nodule reference.Save it in your favorites.

I don t think that these youngsters belong to the INO Family.

Hi KENTUCKY,

INO Family???
LutINO / AlbINO

Yellow "albino" from green birds / white "albino" from blue birds.....

If it's a YB it has to be a hen, you know that much at least :D . It could even be a YBAY, this is genetically possible and visually almost impossible to tell if it has a WB. However there ought to be a law against breeding them as they cause so much confusion on forums  .

I've never bred Blues (& never will) but I wouldn't think that being split to blue would affect the nodule colour at all, would it?

Looking at the yellow babies nodules it seems they arnt silver due to yellow nodules in the middle so maybe the lighter one with the pink beak is a sfy hen, and the other yellow with the darker head and beak plus darker blue nodules is an Australian yellow??? Il also take a guess to say at least 1 of these birds isn't carrying the blue gene, from 7 babies it seems no blue mutation is popping up....

Never say Never Tiaris lol,

if both parents are split blue, then some of the babies would have white middle nodules which indicate its a blue mutation gouldian :)

misotaking a long shot here it could be possibly the Austrlaian recessive dilute just that it looks like a couple off young i bred few years ago, theres a post in the mutations abut it as i started it i need help in identificaton , as the parents were similar to urs but nt being sfy but i knew they were split for blue but not split aus yellow until later the breeder told me they were so it could be

thanks chris
