I have not had it easy the past few months with the gouldians I must say. I lost my blue, split blue, possible red eyed/Lutino bird, 5 Australian yellow babies, 3 split australian yellow fledglings and 4 yellows. I have been beside myself the past few months with all this happening. Late this year or early Next year I'm going to have to revamp the entire aviaries up, get new breeding stock and I'm thinking at this stage I will stick with Aussie yellow for next year and possibly a couple pairs of yellow running in another aviary. I've learned my lesson with going straight into the blues, I do however think it was a good learning experience and may help me in the future if I like to get back into the blue mutation.

Sorry to hear of your losses. Can only imagine your anguish, i go to pieces over the loss of one bird, let alone that amount. Good luck with your revamp and restock.

That a shame, I was hoping you were going to surprise us with some babies.
I know the blues aren't easy.

That's terrible news. Hopefully you'll isolate the cause.

Sadly its how we learn ..Reflect ,plan then come back with a plan for success ...

You can do it .

Time for a serious look and think about what can be done now to fix all contributing factors before restocking. Good luck for next season with all the improvements you will make.
