As usually went into the aviary and the 3 heavy pied young were sitting outside their nest. placed the green feed on the dish and a fawn flash zipped pass me to the outside flight.
on the way out i looked over and was greeted by this site. after 12 months i've finally done it -a fawn pied diamond sparrow
if i never breed another bird i will always remember this day and what a sight! i'd say very few of these guys about

He's beautiful!!! I have to say I'm not in for diamond mutations, but I'd buy him if I saw him at a bird sale. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad your excited but personally I reckon it's up there with white Gouldian and fawn scarlet.

Congrats though on rising to the breeding challenge and succeeding.
