I feed mine on pollard & carrot.
I buy the 5kg bags of juicing carrots from woolies for $4.95/bag. 20kg bag of pollard is $15 at the local produce store.

I use carrot and potato. I find apple can go mouldy if you dont have enough mealies to eat it. bannana skin, pumkin skin are also effective for feeding mealies .. pete

To quote a phrase, "I don't believe you went there Myzo". When I buy mine I give them a handful of "Goodo" dog biscuit rings. They are soft and gut load the mealies. They also get banana and rock melon skins.
The giant mealies get the left over chopped fruit from the birds and Goodos also.
I haven't tried "brain" either.
