I don't mind all dove enthusiasts great that you have eggs again!
It was fantastic! I got to band twenty four individuals this time, including some of the first mistletoe birds seen at the site.

hmmmm.
Well, today was supposed to be the last day of incubation - and for some reason the parents havent been on the nest all day. They haven't hatched (as of this morning)..... is this normal? I'm betting no....

Congrats Mike!!!!
They were off the nest for two days Tint so I removed the eggs and opened the, up - two babies, dead in shell... Mostly developed, still some yolk in there as well.
They have started showing interest in the nest again and cooing, so hoping for another try

Sh has indeed laid again, and this morning we have our first Senegal chick
Unlike previous times, when I reached up to feel inside the female started swatting my hand with her wings rather than moving off the nest, and I could feel some fuzz I'm sure!! Also I found some eggshell near the feeding station.
Very excited!
