I want to get your opinion on what are the most robust finches apart from zebra's. I know all finches require shelter etc but what finch can tolerate it more than most?

Well, the ones I'm about to list CAN withstand the weather, but that doesn't necessarily mean they Should be exposed to the weather :)
Long tails
Orange breasts
Most of the European finches (goldfinch, greenfinch, chaffinch)
These are the ones I reckon are hardiest after Zebs :)

Emblemas .... they just dont like wet feet but are tough as old boots and somewhat smarter than the average finch me thinks ...They seem to be either too lazy to panic when under attack from Butcher birds etc or very smart .
