On saturday i removed about 5 unused box nests out of my avairy to give them a good clean out,i was planing to put them back in on Sunday after a good bake in the sun.
I checked the avairy on Sunday to find 3 dead baby zebs on the floor.
I think some of my other Zebs needed the nests to roost but i removed them so they might have thrown some babies out ?????
All the nests are back in now..

Hi Harv,
Sorry for your loss.
How old we're the babies? I'd say if they were fledglings they were planning on returning to the nest to sleep.

Not a big mistake bud, just an unfortunate accident, best thing is to learn from it and move forward, I my self have done the same thing many times in the past and just recently I took to long to remove some nests and now I have to wait till young have fledged...having some branches on the floor may have helped , just to keep them off the cold floor...pete
