You need a fox terrier :puppy: . .

Bitch recommended, as dogs can be bigger nuisances than the turkeys

Great for snakes as well :worm:

Try a Jack Russell bitch. Best rodent catchers in the world. Unfortunately anything else that is small and moves is also fair game, so need a fence between them and the avairys.

just one of the benefits from living close to paradise i guess....a small price to pay for your sub-tropical surrounds   .
i may just trade you some butcher birds or brown snakes for one or two....they may even deter the odd snake?

Sub-tropical environment has nothing to do with it unfortunately. I live on the north side of Sydney, 15 minutes from the city, and have had six bush turkeys in the backyard all winter. They make a helluva mess, but it's hard to get too upset. They are everywhere around here now after a successful fox baiting program in the Kuring-Gai and Lane Cove River park areas. Even saw a bandicoot a couple of weeks ago behind the local shops.

Well CC here in Chapel Hill (Brisbane) we have both turkeys and butcher birds in abundance with a heaped side serving of noisy miners. Paradise is not what springs to my mind but I'm not known as a optimist. No finches for me yet but the free range birds are nice to have around.

Heard on radio that apparently turkeys are turning up all over Brisbane in areas where they have never been. Seems people are taking them for a drive.

Today's helper was a 2.5m carpet snake which the kids and dog were fascinated by. I took it for a drive to Mt Cootha after we'd had a look but I'm told that all I've done is create a space for another to move in. Apparently I should have paid $175 for registered professional to relocate it but I like to live dangerously and not to mention I've got different priorities for my money.
