Stomach balance

As a user of apple cider vinegar in calf rearing for scouring, young animals for many years, I was wondering whether the pH balance in a birds stomach can influence a "worm" count, especially when pH is low.- (more acid-kills worms?) A cow chews its cud so siliva can assist in controlling pH, but how does a bird control pH balance, or is it necessary? A dog will chew grass when it needs to, a human will have a beer because some think that will fix everything. I've believed apple cider to be more of a probiotic assistance than a "worm killer". Would this be right?

I think the main benefit of ACV is to reduce the chances of harmful bacterial/yeast infections. Not sure of any effect on intestinal worms.
