stars and newly hatched young

What are stars like as "sitting on eggs / newly hatched" parents. If it is a little warmer as in the last week do they leave the young alone?

A bit off topic, but I recently had a Gouldian fledge from a strawberry nest. It took me a while to believe it as it was a good month after I'd removed the gouldian pair from the aviary.GregH wrote:I'd agree with Henry on the nest inspections by human carers but on the matter of interference from other finch species they don't necessarily dessert - I've found them raising unplanned foster Gouldians that were dropped as eggs in the star nest by their lazy cousins and raised with their own.
