The other day I was sitting in my livingroom reading (a bird book, probably!) when I heard this tapping on the window behind me.
I watched. A little bird had a bee in itsbonnet and was flying repeatedly at the window. He was giving his reflection curry !!!
I went outside and watched. It was a male spotted pardalote. I also spotted the hen. Theyhave a nest under my house in urbanised Greensborough ina garden brimming with exotic trees !!
I have since heard the sounds of babies begging!
They are just gorgeous little birds. Does anyone know if they are in aviculture?
I took a couple of shots then covered my window to stop the little guy getting worn out !

Great pic!
Good to hear they have adapted to the urban lifestyle so well.
I have a pair of striated who raise their chicks under the corrugations in my roof pretty much year round!
