damn it.

so a few of you may remember i had a spare cordon cock caged and a pair in the avairy.
well i was doing pre-winter cleanout, removing nesting materials etc, and the door swung open and there went my only cordon hen.

she hung around for a bit and i knew i could get her back if i caught up all my birds and caged them inside the aviary, but i was running late for a date and as much as i like my birds, girls are way more important.

on the bright side it solved my dilemma of what to do with my spare cock. now she's out of the picture i've returned the spare bird to the aviary and have not yet noticed any aggression...

i'd still rather have my hen though :(
