I went into the aviary this morning, and the Senegal hen was back on the nest. I checked and there was already an egg there.
The last nest just fledged, and the chicks are still being fed. It's far too soon for them to be independent, will the parents continue to feed them even though they are back on eggs? They were still feeding them as of an hour ago anyway.
Thanks,
J

Thanks! :D
Yeah, it is a bit of a worry! Thankfully these ones have been able to fly pretty much since they left the nest, not as much crashing about as I'd feared.
Looks like I may be overrun with RFPF as well, I put in one definite and one possible hen today, in the aviary with my lonely male who hasn't seen a female for about 8 months... Poor girl never even saw what hit her!!

Leave them in there till the parents don't want to feed them or take out before next chicks fledge.
