Odd colour gouldian

I have a young gouldian just about to color up it's usual that it has a black chest and face and the rest is green .it's siblings look normal . I only use my iPhone so I'm not sure I can post a photo unless someone knows how

with out a pic, it could be melanistic. does it was a shinyness to the black ...

not really it was bred in an outdoor Avairy . Is the a way to post without a computer . Just using iPhone . What is melanistic

It looks melanistic to me but it will be interesting to see what happens next year after the second moult.

Hi and I total agree with natamambo you just have to wait until next moult and you will find it will moult out to a normal bird.

To me it looks more like a hybrid,the beak where it meets the feathers is a totally different shape to the normal in the pic.What other species are in the aviariy with them.?

Funny you say that crocnshas first thing I thought was Tanimbar x Gouldian, or Blue Face Parrot

I asked that question too after I was sent the pic. He says that there are only Gouldians in the flight.

I reckon a hybrid. Did you buy these birds uncoloured?
