They are so beautiful it could nearly sway a fincho to the DARK SIDE.
When I was in Queensland last year I saw 9 Crimson Wings feeding on wild Sun Flower plants right at the roads edge.
I stopped and watched them, truely a beautiful site.

One of the best wild bird sights I've ever seen was a large mixed flock of crimsonwings & major mitchells feeding on a patch of paddymelons - beautiful.

I also saw a pair near Manila NSW also feeding on the small sunflower bush on the side of the road about 18 months ago.

The sun was rising early in the morning and the shine of the green and red is a memory i will never forget, gives me goose bumps thinking about it now.
