Very lovely birds. I have always had trouble getting 2 to independance. Usually one.
Also, if the young hit the ground, I found the parents often lose interest in them.

Well done. For some reason I only ever was able to raise one young per nest. Unlike with my other dove species.

Kudos. I had 3 young unrelated pairs set up in separate aviaries for years and fledged 1 young one. They would get them starting to feather and then stop feeding. I tried everything and took all the advice I could get. No luck.

I must have some good parent birds then if they can raise two per nest. But my Diamond doves currently laid 4 eggs and hatched all and feeding all 4 and only doves in that aviary is that common or rare ?

All doves to the best of my knowledge usually lay 2 eggs at a time. Hence the expression pigeon pair. They are usually one of each sex, and if one dies it is inevitably the hen. My diamond doves over the years always laid 2 eggs. So you have a gem of a pair.
