I asked about these as a possible softbill food a year ago before I had any softbills. There are umpteen squillion of the little mongrels here again now damaging my avocado tree, flame tree & other plants. Yesterday arvo I shook a swarm of them off a flame tree branch into a bucket & put the bucket in the back of an aviary containing Variegated wrens & Red-capped robins. They went beserk catching plenty of them. So I went & shook another thousand or so into another bucket & put them in an aviary with Turquoise wrens & Orange Chats with the same result. So if you have these in your yard at the moment, they are another free & useful livefood for small softbills.
