Has anyone got any "U Beaut" system for ffeding their birds from the outside at the front of the aviary wherby the feed tray can be pushed further bach in the aviary so that it doesnt get wet or the sun on it? My flights are fully roofed, but the rain can still come in at the front a bit.

I have used a opaque plastic storage box with a removable lid purchased from The Reject Shop for about $10. To allow the birds access from inside aviary I cut away a hole, used a electric soldiering iron, about 100 x 150mm at one end and another access hole that is suitable which allows room for your hand + feed containers at the other. These plastic boxes were situated on a shelf above the water bowls located at the front of aviary. I made a small door adjacent to the feeding station/plastic box providing a quick and easily access from within the safety walkway.

Plastic storage boxes are cheap to buy, waterproof, washable, light weight, easily modified. These plastics are not UV resistant and will become brittle, if left in direct sunlight. After a couple of seasons of use when the plastic is scratched, soiled/discoloured, brittle and unable to keep clean any more just throw them out and start again.

A cheap nasty fix would be a sheet of plastic stapled to dowel that rolls up like a blind. No need to change existing infrastructure.
