I have found this grass seeding all over my yard...
Was wondering what it is and can the bird have it?
Took a few photos on account of my camera failing to focus.
Thanks

Your camera is too close to the subject or its focus point is measuring the background, will fix your photos and I beleive thats a type of "Barnyard grass" its ok to give to your birds

It looks like Jap millet to me. Don't know if "Barn yard grass" is another name for Jap millet! Jap millet is one of the easiest and best to grow for finches.

Jap.Barnyard, & Shiroie are all different varieties of the same plant, with Barnyard being more towards the wild species, Jap is a higher seed producing variety, & shiroie produces more leaf fore pasture, with a paler seed head than the others.

Barnyard grass (Echinochloa spp.) is similar with a branched seed head but thinner branches.
Both are great for birds.

Echinochloa colona - possibly. Grows here in summer, likes damp, swampy areas and i reckon it wont grow until the soil temps climbs oct/nov.
