Melbourne Zoo Finches

Took my boy (2yo) to the Melbourne Zoo today, it was a great day out, not too hot and no crowds. We were walking through the 'Aussie bush' section when we found an aviary of budgies and zebs. We watched them for a while until the wife said lets go. After a few more minutes walking we came across another aviary full of finches. This aviary had a number of Gouldians in it, the wife says to me 'why don't you get the colourful finches instead of the finches you have'. Looks like the zebs are about to be retired for some Gouldians. The finch aviaries at the zoo were really good to watch.

Looks like another convert to the Gouldian, and with spouse approval too. Great job, the trip to the zoo worked to your advantage!

Let us know if you're looking to offload your Zebbies, I've dabbled with Gouldians, but home is where the "meep" is for me.
