My spot still has water in it but around the shore line there was still abundant swamp grass.I am glad to finally be in front with nesting material,I will make certain I keep in front from now on.After 2 hours work for two people here is the result 25 or so bags.

Those bags must be nearly worth the price of that Gold nugget that was found this week.

felt like gold to see it loaded up anyway.I broke a new grass rake on the first bag.Was one recommended from a old timer in Queensland the type with the spreadable metal head. The problem was the handle was soft wood.I also had a green plastic grass rake that I had used in the past, but opted for a normal heavy duty rake the tradesman type. This one worked a treat for the first time. One of the things I thinked helped was that it had not been cleaned propley when used a while ago on concrete.I think the grass tended to stick to the un uniformed rake head instead of slipping through the steel head. This maybe worth others trying next time.I will try it again next year anyway.

We generally use the older type rakes, the only problem is I spend half the time looking for where
I left it once I finished actually bagging the grass.
I was so lucky this year, too much water around then massive heat that dried the low areas too quickly for the swamp grass
to grow and seed.
The Forum members from Tamworth have saved my day and supplied my needs, greatly appreciated for their generousity.

Love it. Another excuse I can use when my dearly beloved asks why I don't clean-up after using tools!
