Hello everyone

Quick question, most people seem to have Painteds nesting in brush, do they nest just as happily in boxes/baskets and if so any particular type?

Murray cod painteds as far as I concerned are eager to use anything. I've had painteds use gouldian nest boxes, open fronted finch boxes, cane wicker baskets and even the odd canary nest pan. I wouldn't be to concerned at mine haven't had any issues with nest boxes and I believe in late April when mine are finishing their season these are probably a lot warmer too.

Ill second what djb78 said and my painteds have even built their own from scratch.
