Im looking for a USB hub. Got a Toshiba L675 laptop with Windows 7 Home.
Ive looked on ebay and found several different ones, some really cheap too at under $10. After a bit more research, Ive read about splitters and hubs, powered and non powered. If I thought I was confused before I started looking I certainly am now :crazy:
Anyone with some suggestions on what would work...without breaking the bank?

It has 2 USB ports and an SDHC card reader built in. Why is 2 not enough?

I have the internet connection in one, a hard drive storage I use all the time in another and a mouse in the third. So when I want to print I have to remove the mouse usb. I know the laptop has a built in mouse but I prefer to use the external mouse when Im home and only use the built in mouse when I have to. There are also times when I use another USB storage device for my Clivia database.

Given you have externally powered devices (I am assuming the hard drive and printer have their own power), you will be fine with a non-powered hub.

I use a wireless mouse on my Laptop and another on my main computer.They work fine.

This may seem a silly question, but......

Do you/can you/will have wireless internet?....doesn't cost any more here.......that will free up at least one usb....then there's E orix's suggestion of a wireless mouse..........voila!....two free usb ports :geek:
