I keep both White-browed and Yellow-throated Scrubwrens. They are available and somewhat easily sexed once they are sexually mature as the hens are a lighter brown around the face. You are more likely to get some after they have finished breeding which starts soon up until about October. Yellow-throated can be sexed as soon as they fledge.

I believe we have a few WB scrubwrens a work - we don't see them all the time, so they could be wild birds getting in through a hole - or maybe they're just sneaky like their wild cousins

Yellow-throateds live & breed here on our property. They have their nests hanging over the small creeks in rainforest gullies & feed in the undergrowth on the ridges.

The wild ones here are too cheeky and very tame.
Real little characters.
They will always come inside if a door or window is left open.

From his location it would be assumed he was expecting a cooked breakfast.

So she's come in to help with the washing up. Didn't you know that's why they're called scrub wrens ?
