Parasitic?

has anyone witnessed parasitic behaviour in ruddies because i had a hen ruddie in with my silverbill pair and after a week of nest building the ruddie hen started to roost in/ incubate the eggs in the nest. I immediately removed her and put her with a cock ruddie in another cage as she was preventing the silverbills from going to nest.
Has anyone had this happen them before?
