How many other breeders/pairs do you know of? They are not a bird you see on the open market.

Cheers Ian
I've found 4 others Nationally, all willing to swap down the track and one that's sending me a cock bird in a couple of weeks,my best hen's awaiting. Craig

Four is better than three but it's still not a lot is it. Hopefully there are a few more hidden away.

Congrats again on the great results.

Cheers Ian

What size aviary are you breeding these guys in?

Luke, that's one of my internal holding cages, eight breeding aviaries extend off my birdroom and they are open fronted to the North. They are 2.8 x1.0 x 2.2 H and only hold 1pr of crimsons.
Four of these aviaries used to house lesser redbrows which i no longer keep, hence the 4 extra prs of WB crimsons set up,the normal redbrow in the pic is part of another project i had going. Cheers Craig

Beautiful looking birds. I gave up years ago trying to obtain them. You should be proud of your efforts. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure finch breeders are waiting for you to build up numbers to sell, including me.
