Iconic Eprinex

Hi all,

Has anyone used the cattle pour on Ivomec Eprinex lately to treat their finches? We've got some for the cattle and thought it may be suitable to worm the finches with and treat against air sac mites. What are the dilutions required if at all? And is it just applied one drop to the back of the head/neck?

Your suggestions are very much appreciated!

I'd give it a miss. Never heard of anyone using that strength/formula for worming birds.

I have read that it can be used on finches. Here is a link to one of the sites http://www.finchniche.com/features_faq.php#ivermectin1
A guy who breeds all sorts of parrots and finches at the local produce store uses it but only to treat not for prevention. I think there are safer options.
