Hi reading about finches breeding in winter and not a good idea....how do you stop them. I feed mine the same diet all year round at the moment I have 3 lots of stars with babies in the nest. Another pair of stars have built a nest and also 2 pairs of Painted are sitting on eggs. Any advice would be appreciated.

My stars at the moment are breeding like zebras, painteds on eggs and chicks and of course the goulds are going gangbusters. 7 fledged yesterday!

I have the green singers on eggs
just fledged some Ruddies
The painted pair I have are sitting on 4 eggs...
the goulds are courting but no nests yet
My aviary is fully covered though and for the most part wind does not hit the front open bits.
