Oops sorry that would of prob helped lol. I want to make these bins up for Gouldians I am getting. I currently breed Scarlet chested parrots, so if u have any ideas on seed mixes for them, that would also be a great help. Ideally I'd like to have x3 bins for gouldians and x3 for scarlets, 2 for breeding season, one for the resting period. I mix my own seed for the scarlets and want to do the same for gouldians. At the moment for scarlets I mix equal parts of canary seed, french white millet, panicum, sorghum, jap millet, safflower and Wheat and about half a part of grey striped sunflower. This is just the mix I was reccomended by the people that sell it. I'ts more of a produce store though, so may not be the best advice.
Thank You
Nathan

What i haven't deleted from your post would be a good year round seed diet for your gouldians imo Craig

Great, Thanks heaps Craig. So would I add anything to that around breeding season? or change the ratio? I think I read to much on the internet lol, I read somewhere different seed mixes and ratios should be given during breeding season and during the resting season, or they could end up obese and find it harder to come into breeding mode

No,with no disrespect to others who add extra canary seed for the breeding season,i added extra white french millet as i found the the young had 90% WFM in their crops. With a mix ratio like that the birds can take what they want without becoming obese but to bring them into breeding condition all you need to do is to supply copious amounts of seeding grasses and soaked/sprouted seed just before the breeding season and during the breeding season. Cheers Craig
